There is no form of protest against racism that will be acceptable to racists.
There is no method for teaching the past and present harm of racism and white supremacy that will be palatable to people who are comfortable with where we are and with being benefactors of oppression.
Ethnic studies did not teach me to hate White people. It taught me to love myself. It didn't instill anti-American values in me, it showed me that I had been part of American history all along. It gave me stories I could share with my White family to help them understand better.
