@nytimes Chauvin worked with Floyd as a bouncer? This isn't a cop killing a random black man like everyone is making it out to be. This is a cop killing a man he knew over a grudge we don't know about.

@Rocketboy1313 @nytimes no the cops lawyers are, thats their job. idk why its taking so long its pretty obvious why he died but no 'they are' not trying to excuse the cops actions, his lawyers are.

@nytimes Umm....aren't all deaths due to lack of oxygen? It's Chauvin's knee on the carotid artery that caused hypoxia in this case. Murder.

@nytimes Funny thing,  he was up, walking around and functioning until he wasn't...George Floyd was no angel but he didn't deserve to die like that,  no human being does...  🤔

@paulshelb @nytimes It’s the law, it gets technical. If the carotid was clamped down unconsciousness happens in like 3-5 seconds. The defense case is that the hold itself was not unauthorized and that since he was talking he had an open airway and while conscious he did not have disrupted blood flow
